o Do I need fishing experience?

No. Trips are designed for anglers of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced fishermen. Rich provides instruction on casting, lure selection, fish behavior, and techniques to help you catch more fish and improve your skills.

o What lakes do you guide on?

Most guided trips take place on Lake Casitas and Lake Cachuma. Other Southern California lakes may be available upon request.

o Do I need fishing experience?

Depending on the season and lake conditions, anglers commonly catch largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, red ear perch, and trout.

o What should I bring?

Bring a valid California fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, drinks, and a camera. Rich provides all fishing equipment unless you prefer to use your own.

o Is fishing equipment provided?

Yes. Quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures are available for your trip. Beginners are encouraged to use the provided equipment.

o How long are guided fishing trips?

Trips are typically half-day or full-day excursions. Custom trip lengths can often be arranged to fit your schedule.

o Can children participate?

Absolutely. Family-friendly trips are available, and Rich enjoys helping young anglers learn the fundamentals of fishing while having fun on the water.

o How many people can fish on a trip?

Most trips accommodate one to three anglers comfortably. Larger groups can be accommodated by using our Pontoon Boat.

o When is the best time to fish Lake Casitas?

Fishing can be productive year-round, but spring and fall are often considered excellent seasons for bass fishing. Conditions vary based on weather, water levels, and fish activity.

o What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety is always the top priority. If conditions are unsafe, the trip may be rescheduled for a mutually convenient date.
