I’m exhausted from a full day of fishing with Rich, so I’m gonna keep this short and sweet. Went out with Rich today at Casitas and had a blast. He is extremely knowledgeable and will take you to where the fish are at. Being on a boat all day with some random guy you don’t know can be a crap shoot, but with Rich, you’ll be in great company. Without a doubt, I will be fishing with Rich at least a few more times this season. I highly recommend you give the man a call. And for the record, he did not ask me to write a review or offer any incentives to do so.

Rich Tauber is one of the best fishing guides I have had the pleasure of meeting. Easy booking process, great communications, arrived at boat ramp right on time. Most importantly, he was incredibly patient teaching my teenage sons on how to improve their techniques. He worked hard to get us on the fish. And a great guy to generally hang out with and fish. HIGHLY recommended.

Had an amazing fishing trip with Rich Tauber Fishing. The trip was easy to set up, Rich’s instructions were very clear, communication with him was A+. Our fishing guide was Steven and he was incredible, super knowledgeable and experienced, and you could tell he really likes what he’s doing. We caught many bass at Lake Cachuma and had a great day. We booked two fishing trips with Rich Tauber. One trip was with Rich at Casitas and the other was with Steve at Catchuma. We had a wonderful time each trip. Both Rich and Steve were very accommodating to my kids, ages 7 and 4. They provided life jackets, adhered to Covid protocols, and made it an enjoyable experience for the entire family. Steve and Rich spent time with my 7 year old son, budding angler giving him some tips on how to catch fish and gave both kids opportunities to reel in fish. My kids keep asking to book our next trip. Highly recommend!

I booked a fishing trip for my husband and our 2 boys this weekend. And they had a great time. Caught a bunch of bass, some the biggest my husband has seen. My 10 year old caught a fish in the first 20 mins. Reasonably priced trip for the boys. Rich was ready with boat in the water at 7am. I definitely recommend Rich!

We had THE BEST time! I hadn’t fished since I was 7 and caught my mom! After that my family didn’t fish. Ha! But Steve was fantastic and fun! The kids had a blast and we caught a bunch of large mouth bass and blue gill at lake casitas. We learned so much! Rich was clear, kind and communicative. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks guys!

I just had a trip yesterday and I’m beyond blown away. First let me start with this… Yes, I caught lots of fish but that has nothing to do with my rating or review. A guide can only take you to the fish, they can’t make them bite…

Booking: I had a very easy time booking with Rich. He was friendly, flexible and really worked with me to get me on the water and in a timeframe that worked for me.

The trip: INCREDIBLE! My guide was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and just an overall good guy. I honestly didn’t count but I think I landed around 12-15 bass. We kept the 4 biggest in his live well so I could get some photos at the end (all were released). The entire trip is up to you. I specifically wanted to fish bass and just wanted to have fun. They will tailor your trip to what YOU want though.

All in all, there is not a better service out there. I can’t wait to get back out there again!

Lake Cachuma

This is our second trip out with Steve with my 10 year old. Se went out to Cachuma this morning. We wanted to get on some trout which we did and my son wanted to switch to bass half way through the trip. Steve got us on some great fish but is also great with my son! Feels like a no brainer if you are fishing local lakes to get in touch with Rich Tauber Fishing.
