Southern California Fishing Guide Report 11/20/2015 – Pyramid Lake – With water temperatures holding steady at 63° the good fishing continued for our guide service at Pyramid Lake this week. "It's the place to be" is the best way I can explain it as we were greeted with water levels that are at capacity, beautiful clear water and very very steady fishing. For winter fishing the weather has been very mild and steady and the forecast calls for some warming temperatures throughout the coming week. Our guide service has fished a lot of different patterns throughout the week and without question fishing striped bass in less than 15 feet of water has been the ticket. We're catching really nice fish from 4 to 7 pounds on a super spook, lipless crankbait, and setting the boat down and fishing chunk bait in some of our better areas. I will tell you there's a real trick to fishing the chunk bait right now and we're sharing that secret with our guide clients. We are fishing most every day and making it clear to our clients that the time to go fishing is right now. If we get the El Niño winter weather that were expected to get that could put a halt to fishing here in Southern California. Anglers interested in getting in on some good fishing need to take advantage of the current conditions. Weather is stable and water clarity is absolutely fantastic.
