Lake Casitas Fishing Guide Report 08-14-2016 … I know the waters 82° and I know it's the dog days of summer yet we're onto one of the best deep water bass fishing patterns we've ever been on. We're fishing one of the craziest patterns we've ever fished in our history and catching lots of fish at Lake Casitas in Ventura California. It's kind of hard to explain but were we are fishing a crankbait in open deep water water. Catching basically as many fish as we want. Nothing over 4 pounds but catching huge numbers of bass, basically fishing out in the middle of the ocean (open deep water in Lake Casitas). Water temperature is 82° and traffic on the lake is very light.
Our fishing guide business has been ultra busy and I am doing my best to keep up. Anglers should know that they can also call me to book fishing trips on Castaic Lake and Pyramid Lake as I have 3 full-time fishing guides that work those reservoirs for me. We're working seven days a week to keep up with the heavy demand from our summertime clients. Anglers interested in booking a fishing trip call or text me at 818-439-1154 for more information.
Pictured below is action from Saturday 8/13 and this is just one group of young anglers on a half-day fishing trip. They caught and released over 15 fish in four hours.
