With the Labor Day weekend upon us we continued to experience very steady fishing as Lake Casitas in Ventura California. Beautiful cool temperatures and absolutely perfect conditions greeted our bass fishing guide clients at Lake Casitas this week. For the most part it was business as usual as a drop shot plastic worm in a purple or brown color was the number one choice. There are lots of bass out in open water chasing large "black" clouds of bait in open water. It's really cool to look out across the water and see these "Volkswagen" size balls of bait moving on the surface of the water as the bass pushing and chase them to the surface. As we all know those Lake Casitas bass love to suspend in the summertime and we've caught lot's of bass casting and trolling through the schools we see in open water pretty much in the middle of the lake. With two solid fishing patterns to fall back on we are set for a strong holiday weekend. Anglers interested in booking a fishing trip can call or text us at 818-439-1154. We're here to answer any questions you might have. We have a wide variety of boats to choose from and a beautiful 20 foot G3 fishing pontoon boat that takes anywhere from 3 to 10 of your friends or family at one time. Of course all of your rod reels and tackle will be ready when you arrive. There's also bottled water ice and package snacks on board at no extra charge.
