The tremendous fishing continues at Lake Casitas. The shad are still up and cruising the shallow flats of Lake Casitas. We are using this live shad for bait each and every day and having absolutely phenomenal fishing with the "Candy Bait". We are expecting the shad to continued to "float" for at least another month. This should result in incredible fishing throughout the month of June. I will tell you though that if you're going to book a fishing trip it's better to do it as soon as possible. The bait is in shallow water spawning and this will not continue forever, the best time to go fishing is right away. We're fishing the live shad on spinning rods with 6 pound test line and flylining the bait on a number 4 mosquito style hook. This has been one of the best years in recent memory at Lake Casitas for netting huge volumes of bait and all of us at the lake are very excited about it. As always the trips leave at 7am in the morning. I also have a half day trip that leaves at 12 noon. There's no deposit needed to book a fishing trip. Just go to the top of the page and go to the contact "Contact Rich Tauber" link and send me a direct e-mail. Pick out the day you want to go fishing and you are set to go. Most all of my clients pay for the fishing trip at the end of the fishing day, once again no deposit is needed. My boat is in the water waiting for you at the beginning of each fishing day. All of your fishing rods reels and tackle are rigged and ready to go when you arrive. This is absolutely a wonderful time to book a guided bass fishing trip on one of Southern California's greatest fishing lakes, Lake Casitas. With summer vacation for the kids on its way it's a great way to spend some time with your kids out on the lake catching bass and enjoying the incredible scenery that Lake Casitas has to offer. There's packaged snacks, and bottled water on board at no extra charge on all fishing trips. And at the end of the day we simply pull up to the dock and you walk off the vessel, it's as easy as that. You are welcome to call me a my personal cell phone or text me at (818) 439-1154. We look forward to seeing you soon and spending a day on the water at Lake Casitas.
