Normally this time of year we have some pretty steady trout fishing at Lake Cachuma but it has been a struggle for us most everyone on the lake is having a bit of a difficult time putting the trout pattern together. There’s lots of fish in the lake, we’re just having difficulty catching them we’re hoping that this turns around, so we are focusing most of our time on what is best for our clients which is bass fishing. We are still catching good numbers of 1–3-pound bass and a Robo worm in a variety of colors has been best. Without question the fish are holding in that 20 to 40 foot depth. No bluegill fishing or Crappie fishing to speak of we are looking for another trout plant hopefully here in the next week or two.
