Well here it is October and we still have wonderful weather and some fantastic bass fishing for our guide clients at Castaic Lake in Castaic California. We have been focusing most of our attention on Castaic Lake but we can still take you out fishing at Lake Casitas as we have a couple of boats working over there also. The great thing about Castaic Lake right now is we are catching both largemouth bass and striped bass all with the same technique. For the most part we have been fishing Castaic Lake with two different techniques. One is fishing topwater baits throughout the entire day. The fish are schooling and breaking on live threadfin shad all throughout the lake. We locate the birds and that brings us to the shad and were able to fish topwater baits for the most part throughout the entire day. Our other technique is netting live shad and using it for bait throughout the day. So the optimum situation is a little bit of live bait fishing mixed in with a little bit of topwater fishing and this serves as a wonderful fishing day. Some of the days have been just fantastic. Like I said we have good weather and very few boats on the lake as most of the water sport boats are done for the season. We are starting our fishing day at 7 AM each day. We have half-day and full-day fishing trips available and of course we supply all of your rods reels and tackle that you will need for the day. There is also bottled water ice and package snacks on board at no extra charge. You can call or text me at 818-439-1154 for more information. Of course you can always email me at the links above. Thanks so much and hope to see you soon.
