Lake Casitas Bass Fishing Guide Report 05/16/2016 – The fishing remains steady at Lake Casitas in Ventura California. We are starting to get our first isolated patches of grass growing and the fish are making a transition from cycling in the backs of bays and moving toward these newly established grass beds. Lake Casitas has always been known for its excellent fishing in the summer months once the grass beds get established. Topwater baits, spinnerbait's and buzzbaits can be fantastic at this time of the year. The water remains very clear and the water temperature is now touching 70°. The crappie fishing has tailed off just a bit. It's still consistent we're just not catching the large numbers like we were a month ago. We have two boats ready to go each and every day at Lake Casitas. We have our fishing pontoon boat which will take up to eight people. And we have our 21 foot Phoenix bass boat that is perfect for 1 to 2 anglers. As always we provide everything that you'll need for the day. All of your rods reels and tackle are ready for you when you arrive and we always have bottled water ice and packaged snacks on board all of our fishing trips. Anglers who would like to purchase a fishing trip right away can simply click the book online button and purchase their trip at any time.
