Castaic Lake Bass Fishing Guide Report 01/22/2016 – We continue to have steady fishing for our Castaic Lake bass fishing guide clients. With a steady band of weather in front of us and little to no boat traffic at Castaic Lake we continue to catch striped bass on two different techniques. Trolling a chandelier rig continues to produce steady fishing and we also have located isolated places where we've had good fishing on chunk sardine and chunk anchovy. January and February can be two of the very best best months for fishing striped bass at Castaic Lake. As always we will have everything ready for you when you arrive. We have been starting our fishing day for the most part at 7 AM but we can customize your fishing trip to begin at any time that's that fits your schedule. Make sure to dress warm in the morning and the afternoon temperatures have been very mild. The lake level has come out quite a bit and this is all encouraging news as we expect more water to come down to California aqueduct and into Castaic lake. We supply all of the rods reels and tackle that you will need for the day and as always we have bottled water ice and package snacks on board every fishing trip. We have also been fishing Pyramid Lake and making a decision on which lake to fish whether it be Castaic Lake or Pyramid Lake based on which one is best during any given week.
