Castaic Lake Bass Fishing Guide Report 01/06/2016 – As we look back over the past few years at Castaic Lake it definitely has not been the type of fishing we've been used to. Our bass fishing guide clients at Castaic Lake have caught huge numbers of fish especially in the fall of the season when we have live threadfin shad to fish with. The topwater fishing at Castaic Lake can be fantastic. We are really hoping with all of the rain we are receiving currently in Southern California that large amounts of water will come down the California aqueduct and Castaic Lake will fill back up and start to produce the kind of fishing were used to. The last two seasons just haven't been as good as were accustomed to. We're really hoping that with this influx of water this will regenerate some fantastic fishing for out Castaic Lake bass fishing guide clients. Our Castaic Lake bass fishing guide service fishes Castaic Lake year round but we really try to focus on Castaic reservoir in the fall of the year. September through January can be some of the best fishing of the season. It's just a 1 hour drive from downtown Los Angeles and this makes it very convenient for our Southern California bass fishing clients. We'll keep our eye on the water levels at Castaic Lake and let you know if the fishing breaks loose.
