Well the sun finally came out today after battling through a week of dark cloudy weather. The fishing remains steady the water temperature was 67–68° The majority of the spawn is over still plastic worms, Ned rigs anything that is a bottom contact bait definitely seems to be best. We are catching huge numbers of fish up to 50 fish in just four hours of fishing But the key is to fish a small plastic bait most of the people are fishing too big of a bait and cutting down on their numbers. The swimbait and topwater can be occasional for some anglers but for the most part that’s not the deal the fish are still really focused on the bottom in anywhere from that 5 to 20 foot range. Further proof of this is we have not netted any live shad yet this season but I am looking every single day and will let you know when that shad pops up. www.richtauberfishing.com
