With a large influx of dirty water and floating debris that is washed into Castaic Lake surprisingly the striped bass fishing remains fantastic. This is a straight troll bite. We're fishing a pretty unique umbrella rig that we have designed. Most of our guide trips last week produced 15 to 25 striped bass per day. They're all super nice fish in the 3 pound range. We have seen a couple of days last week where there was a large volume of fish busting on bait so there is some topwater action to be had on certain days also. Our guide service is open seven days a week and the fish are not really time sensitive at all. The fishing remains good throughout the entire day. Water temperatures remain at 58 to 59° for the most part. Anglers interested in booking a fishing trip can go to www.RichTauberFishing.com. Pictured below is just a typical trip from this week.
