The steady fishing continues at Castaic Lake. Although temperatures got supercold on a few days last week most of the afternoons were pleasant and we had some beautiful flat calm days at Castaic Lake. We have a nice pattern of weather in front of us so were excited about what the next week or two of fishing will bring. Once again we're concentrating our efforts entirely on fishing stripe bass and without question trolling and umbrella rig that we have custom designed has been without question our best plan of attack. What's nice is anglers are able to enjoy a nice day on the water and take home some great stripers to eat at the end of the day. The stripers are suspended in about 30 to 70 feet of water and moving with birds and bait each and every day. It seems like we have to move around just a little bit and relocate the moving schools of fish. Most all of the fish have been in the 2 to 5 pound range. Once we hook a couple of fish we've been setting the boat down in that area. We are starting our fishing trips at 8 AM each and every day. Fishing trips start as low as $225 and we supply all the rods, reels and tackle that you will need for the day. There's also bottled water ice and package snacks on board every fishing trip at no extra charge. Anglers can call or text me at 818-439-1154 for more information or go to RichTauberFishing.com.
