Well the song remains the same as we continue to have this unbelievable fishing Lake Casitas just huge volumes of Bass schooling out in open water feeding on really small teeny threadfin shad the shad are from this year’s shad spawn and they are smaller than your fingernail and fish just absolutely crush this bait every morning it is very time sensitive it seems like the days when we have a big Marine layer it can go on for the entire day so it is a little bit time sensitive a Basstrix swimbait without question has been our best bait we’re using a spinning rod with 8 pound test line and just casting at boiling fish and people are just amazed with the results we did have two bass this week over 8 1/2 pounds the majority of the fish are the pound and a half fish and then out of nowhere you will catch a 7 to 9 pound bass. www.richtauberfishing.com.
