Lake Cachuma Fishing Guide report September 18, 2025 we are still catching a few fish on topwater but it definitely slowed down this week. Without questions small ledges in that 15 to 30 foot area have been the key as the bass are bunched up on various legs throughout the lake. And a plastic worm has been our number one weapon. Probably our most popular is a Ned rig but any variety of drop shot or Texas rig plastic worm in a brown or purple color will get the job done. There are a few trout to be caught drifting and slow trolling around the dam and we haven’t spent much time at all chasing bluegill or crappie. www.richtauberfishing.com—
