Our guide Steve Morris has seen very steady fishing and most importantly we’re now finally starting to catch some trout on a consistent basis. Some of these trout have been up to 6 pounds. The cold weather definitely helped the trout fishing . Of course Cachuma is absolutely full of water and they’re doing their best to manage it by letting out some of the water for all the water that is still coming in through all of the creeks. Bass fishing is primarily a deeper event at Cachuma mostly in that 25 to 35 foot range with a plastic worm. All of our trout fishing has been at the dam and also over at Bobcat Canyon we have been focusing on that 2 to 15 foot range with a variety of nightcrawler flicker shad and other trout baits. www.richtauberfishing.com—
